Green Moms Meet Party: Bob's Red Mill Organic Flour

This past weekend was pretty fun! I was lucky enough to get a large box of Bob's Red Mill products from Green Moms Meet to try with my mom friends! When I say large, I mean very large! They sent several different types of organic flour (Included was 100% whole grain Ivory wheat, unbleached white all-purpose flour, 100% whole grain pastry and 100% whole grain wheat flour), dry ingredients needed to make a cake (Super-Fine cake flour, Bob's Red Mill granulated sugar and shredded coconut), coupons and some bag clips.

Here are the packages out of the box. Thank you Becca for taking this photo!

The pack also included some recipes. One of the recipes was for a Coconut Bunny Cake that they sent the ingredients for. A fun and festive vanilla cake with coconut topping in the shape of a bunny. Since I waited until after Easter to host my party, I opted to make the cake and leave it in a traditional round shape. I also substituted the cow's milk for almond milk.

This was maybe the second cake I've ever made from scratch. It was fairly easy to make, and it turned out pretty well!

Here's the recipe if you'd like to try it at home!

Try this recipe and more at Bobs Red Mill's website!

The party ended up being small, just my friend and my cousin and her two kiddos and of course, me! It was nice to be able to chat and have fun, talk about the products and eat the cake I made!

Bob's Red Mill products are afforadable, tasty, trusted and happen to be local! Based in Milwaukie, Oregon! The flour is unbleached adn unbromated and grown in the USA! The organic flour that we got to sample is certified organic, non GMO and does not contain any fillers, additives or preservatives. It's also affordable! A 3 lb. package is only $4.49.

Add Bob's Red Mill flour to the list of the other great Bob's products out there, I'll definately be buying this from now on! (And, baking more often! It was so easy!)

SweeTARTS Soft & Chewy Ropes

It's been a little while since I've posted a blog and decided I had better get back into the swing of things! I miss writing and getting to review a variety of products and share my opinion is really a lot of fun! Plus a few of my readers have told me that they missed seeing my blogs, and that was motivation enough! So here I am! I am currently sick, but I decided to do a review for these SweeTART Soft & Chewy Ropes today!

Smiley360 sent me two packages these SweeTARTS ropes for free to try and review, thanks Smiley360! One was a personal size package and one was a larger package to share!

They sent along some fun games/challenges to do with the ropes for creativity sake!

I may or may not have tried all of these things... Okay I tried them.... And you wouldn't believe how hard it is to get these ropes to stay in the shape of a heart when you can only use one hand... ( I was also the sole photographer this time.)

So there's my rope heart! You're supposed to tag someone you love, so here is a blog shout out to my mom Lori, sisters Nicole, Mika and Dayna and my bestie Vanessa :)

These SweeTARTS Soft & Chewy Ropes smell pretty good, they have a stronger scent than flavor in my opinion. The flavor is Cherry Punch. These are naturally flavored. No artificial flavors or colors added. Which is great for the people/kids with dye issues. These used to be a candy called Kazoozles, which I had never heard of before. I thought I'd mention that in case anyone else had heard of them! These are made in the USA and owned by the Nestle company. Check out THIS LINK for more information!

Check out this short, non professional, quick video for my thoughts on the taste :)

I let my little man try them, and he liked them okay but he didn't come back for a second. I think he had more fun playing with it than eating it. I took a picture of him flopping it around! The bonus part of these is they don't feel sticky or anything!

I don't think I would buy these again personally, but if someone had them I would eat one again. They are good, but they did not "WOW" me. I would rate them a 3 out of 5 stars.
